Garbage released their new album, Not Your Kind of People, on Tuesday and it is pretty decent. I was hoping for a bit better a la Beautiful Garbage, but alas. A few songs make the cut though, including the lead single, Blood For Puppies. It is “poppies” but I like “puppies” better. The song is typical Garbage greatness. Batshit, dark, weird and wonderful.
The lead song, Not Your Kind of People, tells everyone off. We aren’t like you, we’re better! A feeling I experience oh so often.
My birthday, January 1st, is the 364th day for number of US babies born. Damn you Christmas! Damn you leap year February 29th. You shouldn’t even count! Anyways, it seems like people don’t give birth on holidays or the 13th of any given month. Also, people seem to bang in winter, cause everyone is born in July-Oct.

Garfunkle and Oats released My Apartment’s Very Clean Without You, a sweet, demented song last month and I would be remiss to keep it from you. Why is it that I think cartoon cats are cute, while I find real cats to be awful?
I watched some weird 90s shit last night. Kindergarten Cop is not nearly as good as 9 year old Clarke thought it was. Meanwhile, Problem Child 2 is brilliant. It is a goddamn mess with no functional plot and complete lunacy everywhere. Please to check out this sadly un-embeddable Spanish version of one such freakish scene. To get to the good stuff, fast forward to 1:30.
Alphabeat has an album coming out sometime this year, it seems. They won’t say when so who the fuck knows. Their underwhelming opening single, from the album, Vacation has a video which I guess is fun enough? Can you tell none of this thrills me as much as I want it to? They are all cute per usual and wonderful, but I need a song I can get behind, people!
